(pro-vok) is the global solution to the current situation artist musicians, singer-songwriters and bands find themselves in that is no better than it ever has been to breakthrough the various music industry strangleholds and allow people to find them and their music.
And with 5 years of research into what artists need, (pro-vok) is the intention behind the passion of the dream we never stop dreaming.
A dream of equality for all artists to get to the ears of the listeners that would really love to hear them, if only they knew of them and any artist could actually get seen or be heard.
(pro-vok) is like leaflets being dropped from the sky and the spread of a bigger picture awareness around something that over time has been relegated to merely “support of the arts” type efforts, which many a times are about hanging onto “what we used to have”.
A great example of doing some good is NARAS (the folks who give out the annual Grammy awards in the U.S.) with their various efforts to keep the musical arts a focus in U.S. schools. They are well-funded by the coalition built around the remaining three major record labels, but their ideas do not aim high enough out and over the far-field fence to actually solve anything.
We need home runs.
And home runs not for just a few priveleged children in the US, but every child everywhere on earth where music can exist as a bona fide career path and that for some of these children they will discover what is to be their life’s work.
In the case of (pro-vok) we are bridging some large gaps that exist and it is focused on all artists breaking through anywhere on earth and having the support they need for the long-term no matter what.
